Your Best Facial Routine
Step 1 Remove Your Make Up

Apply a small amount of Micellar Water to a damp cotton pad and gently wipe across the eyes and lips to remove makeup. If you are wearing foundation, take either a new damp cotton pad or turn the existing pad over, add a little more product and continue to remove your foundation. The oils will help gently dissolve stubborn makeup and nourish this delicate area of the face. Continue wiping until you feel satisfied you have removed all makeup and continue with a cleanser.
Step 2 Deep Cleansing

Depending on your daily routine it is advisable to do a double cleanse at the end of the day especially if you wear heavy makeup for work, have oilier skin or are very active causing excess sweating throughout the day. For both morning and night routines you can add 1-2 pumps into the palm of your hand and add some water to emulsify. Gently apply to the face and neck and gently massage the product around, making sure to take extra care of areas you experience higher amounts of oil or congestion like the jaw line of around the nose. After working the product in for about 60 seconds remove with warm water and a clean face cloth. Once you are sure all cleanser has been removed you can move on the next step.
Nighttime: Exfoliation
Daytime: Serum
Step 3 Exfoliation

Exfoliation is a crucial step in your skin care routine and should be done once or twice a week during your nighttime routine. Using our mechanical exfoliator (Lactic Microfoliant) you can add 1-2 pumps to your hands and massage in circular motions into your face, neck and collar bone region. If you find the product too abrasive which may happen if you have sensitive skin just add a bit of water to the product to help dilute the jojoba beads for a gentler scrub. After a couple of minutes, you can remove with a warm face cloth. If you still have a few jojoba beads left after removal take damp cotton pads and wipe over the areas to pick up the beads.
Tip: You can also use this to exfoliate your hands if you find they are getting dry and apply crème afterwards.
Step 4 Serum

Intensive serums are exactly that. Concentrated solutions of target related ingredients, that are problem specific and applied to your skin for maximum results. Applying serums are easy- you just put one pump onto your fingertips and press/pat the product into your skin. Sometimes you will use serums just in specific areas (ie line reducing serums sometime just are used around the eyes, mouth or forehead) but for the most part you will apply your serums to your entire face and neck.
Step 5 Toner

Toners are a great product to use and are one of the quickest to apply. Just close your eyes and do a few sprays to cover your face. Make sure to hold the product at a distance from your face so you get a nice even spray covering a wide area of the face and neck, if you spray holding the bottle too close you may end up overusing and/or getting water droplets running down your face. If you are using a serum that contains hyaluronic acid this will help enhance the results by providing extra moisture for the serum to hydrate and plump. This is also a great product to have in a travel size bottle you can carry around with you to spray and rehydrated your skin throughout the day.
Step 6 Masque

Our take home masques have the bonus of being able to wear them overnight. If you wish to do so, for the last step of your nighttime routine apply an appropriate serum to your clean skin and then an even, thin layer of the masque over the face, neck and décolleté. Make sure to not overuse as the product will just end up on your pillow. Simply massage the masque into the skin for a minute or two.
If you prefer to not wear the masque overnight after leaving it sit on for 20 minutes you can remove with some warm water and follow up by applying your serums and creams.
Tip: Line up the nights you use your masques with the same nights you use your exfoliators to make it easy to keep track of.
Step 7 Moisturize Crème / SPF

Applying a crème is the last step in any of your routines (unless you are doing a nighttime routine using an overnight sleep masque). Make sure when you use your crème you fully massage it into the skin covering the entire face, neck and upper chest region (décolleté). If it is during your daytime routine use a crème with an SPF in it or apply a SPF product overtop of the desired crème you are using. A little goes a long way, so ensure you do not overuse.
