Perimenopause

Perimenopause

Perimenopause marks the beginning of hormonal change. It usually begins for many at
the age of approximately 45, for most ending in full menopause between 50 and 55.
These steroidal hormones are life hormones that sustain optimal function of every
organ in the body. As they begin to shift and decline many women experience mood
changes, sleep difficulties, changes in brain function and of course irregular
menstruation. In order to navigating through all this, understanding what is happening
can help with understanding why things are happening, coping and therefore seeking
appropriate solutions.
